Greatstartups.com reports on LangLearner

LangLearner.com-Innovatively Tearing Down The Language Barrier
Greatstartups.com recently picked up a story and reported on LangLearner.  We are a "greatstartup" by the magnitude of our energy, agility, and desire to innovate and make an impact, but we are an experienced team across the board.  We hope to share our hard work, passion and innovation with you all.
Here is the article:

GreatStarups.com has previously discussed to sites related to language and language translations.

LanguageMate.com offers a suite of products and services that are specifically designed to meet the communication needs of clinicians, support staff, and the patients they serve.

TranslationsPal.com is a web-based, real time online translation service powered by human translators. The fact that human translators power it is the key. It aims to be a fast, low cost translation service, providing translations in all major languages provided by native speakers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, all around the world. Plus, there are also numerous software programs that provide language lessons such as Rosetta Stone.

Now added to the mixed is a St. Louis, Missouri based startup calledLangLearner.com. Launched in November 2009, LangLearner.com is an interactive, web and mobile platform for learning languages.

LangLearner.com seeks to break down the language barrier by providing an innovative, Web-based and Mobile platform that makes it easier to communicate across languages and cultures. LangLearner Web allows rapid learning of over 90 languages with new techniques such as online chat, multimedia flashcards, a reading tool and games.

The products are easily accessible on the website. LangLearner.com has developed state-of-the-art and complex language learning, speech recognition, text-to-speech and translation technologies for the web and mobile platform. These technologies provide diverse applications and tools for rapid and effective travel language guides and learning tools.

There are spelling-bee applications and translator enabled by speech recognition technologies, so you can communicate among native speakers in a foreign country.LangLearner is a technology that adapts to your own learning style. The technology provides a fun, practical, intuitive way to learn vocabulary and pronunciation. Other killer applications include Language Assistant on a wide range of popular mobile phones including iPhone, it does auto-translation for you in over 90 language pairs instantly by just simply talking to your phone handset, so it’s almost like having a virtual assistant or translator on demand 24/7. I have added this the application to my iPhone and it is the coolest thing, I cannot wait for my next overseas trip to use it.

LangLearner.com has won a spot in the Hong Kong Cyberport IncuTrain Programme and the Samsung Mobile Application Competition. They have been selected as finalists in various contests including Olin Cup Competition, JCI’s Socially Responsible Business Competition, Hong Kong Cyberport Creative Micro Fund Program.

Try the one-day trial on the website, I think you will find it as fun and innovative as I do.
